The Yellowstone River

The Yellowstone River originates in the mountains of southern Yellowstone National Park. The longest undamned river in the American west, the Yellowstone winds its way across Montana towards its confluence with the Missouri. Long reaches of lanquid pools and cut bank drifts are punctuated by broad swift riffles, holding good numbers of rainbow, brown and cuttthroats. Return to Top

The Madison River

The Madison River, also flowing from Yellowstone National Park, is one of a three streams that eventually forms the Missouri. The Madison rushes through a wide breath-taking valley earning its nickname "the fifty mile riffle". Never seeming to slow, the Madison is home to some of the strongest large brown trout anywhere. Rainbow trout numbers continue to rebound as the Madison recovers from whirling disease episodes of more than a decade ago.      Return to Top

The Gallatin River

The Gallatin River, sometimes overlooked because of the internationally acclaimed rivers on either side of it, is a world class fishery in its own right. The Gallatin is walk/wade fished and can offer up some memorable afternoons of fine dry fly fishing in a variety of beautiful settings. From a small meandering meadow stream, the Gallatin enters a deep pine-clad canyon only to empty out into a broad open valley where the river braids into several channels.    Return to Top

The Spring Creeks

The Spring Creeks of the Paradise and Gallatin valleys are private waters, which bump the areas fly fishing into another league. Exceedingly clear, cool spring waters foster aquatic insect hatches that come off like clockwork daily, making the areas most challenging fly fishing. The large cagey trout of the spring creeks require an extra measure of patience and skill.  Return to Top

Mongolia River Outfitters: The Guides for Ghenghis Khan's Home Waters

Territory Anglers works exclusively with Mongolia River Outfitters to offer guided fly fishing trips for Mongolian Taimen, Trout and Lenok.  Mongolia. Its very name is synonymous with the remote and exotic. A landscape reminiscent of Montana without roads or fences, Mongolia is vast and beautiful. The prize for most fishermen visiting Mongolia is the opportunity to catch Taimen trout, the world's largest salmonid. It's tempting to compare Mongolia's waters to Montana's blue-ribbon streams... Without the parking space and fishing hole competition. Taimen aggressively take wet and dry flies. Large mouse patterns and streamers are our favorites. Once hooked, taimen usually make reel-burning runs and explode out of the river. Each evening after a day of floating, fishermen return to our camp comprised of the Mongolian Ger (yurts). Gers are the traditional nomad tent of the native Mongolians.
